Thanks for checking out the site and supporting the charity. Always Picked Last Charities has grown out of the Always Picked Last podcast over the last couple years. The podcast started in 2010 as a way for Chad, myself and our friends and family to get together and make each other laugh with the stories and life events. The podcast had a heck of a run, not a lot of podcasts get dozens of fans, ya know? As we grew older and our kids grew, our free time for the podcast went the opposite way. During the pandemic, a lot of discussions started revolving around what we really want to do with the rest of our lives. Both of us having spent years coaching youth sports knew we wanted to do something more and help the community as much as we could. While we work towards those goals, we wanted to start giving back to the community and held our first events in 2023. Our first event was a charity golf scramble to raise money for school supplies for local kids. We ended up raising $4200 and helped over 300 families get supplies in two towns. Our second event was a charity Halloween concert/party. We held this event while also collecting winter clothing across multiple drop spots to get clothing and winter gear to local families. We raised over $2000 at this event and ended up getting over 100 winter coats, snow pants and boots to local families. In 2024 we have multiple events lined up, hang out and see what we can do to make our community a better place together.   -Ron Roettger, Executive Director
